Synthetic ice is a specialized plastic surface that mimics real ice, allowing players to skate using regular hockey skates. It provides excellent glide and resistance for effective training.

No! You can use your regular hockey or figure skates. Our premium synthetics from Glice don't dull skates like the cheaper competitor tiles. We recommend starting with a sharp blade for the best experience.

Our tiles are approximately 6' 5" x 3' 3" so we can build any size in multiples of those dimensions up to 26' x 16', although a buffer of 1" is needed for expansion and contraction.

Yes! Our synthetic ice is weather-resistant and can be set up outdoors in most conditions. A flat, level surface is required for the best skating experience.

Depending on the size of the rink and how well prepared the surface is, setup can take 30 minutes to an hour and a half. We handle everything, so you can focus on enjoying your rink.

The biomechanic is the same, but there is slightly more resistance than real ice. Nothing will replace real ice, but our tiles provide a remarkably close experience, making it an excellent training tool for improving stride strength and endurance.
